LPW #3 ~Preparation for Rebirth~

well, it seems that 7 may be the way to go Frank. From what I have heard from the tech guys at Circuit City, MicroSoft is trying to break away from 32 bit systems completely. 7 will not be offered as a 32bit OpSys. Fortunately, they have appearently fixed (hopefully) the issue of using 32bit programs on 64bit systems. Granted, I have heard that 7 takes up about as much space as the 32bit predicessor. As=los even uses less resources from what I have heard, so this should be quite an improvement.

hmm what about 16-bit programs? i wanna know how good 7's backward compatability is? or i'll have to resort to vmware.

You mean you can still find 16bit programs?

I don't know. I shall have to ask those whom I know are running 7 to find out. I think I know a few people who would know the answers.

i have some old 16bit pc games i want to play. if it's dos games i can use dosbox but i must use virtualpc for 16bit windows games. :(

Probably won't have much impact in Brazil, considering the distance inbolbed and the fact that Brazil is on the other side of the mountain range, blus tsunami wise, by the time it got to Brazil, it will have lost most of it's energy I imagine. (has to go around the southern tip of South America)
